Kim, not sure if you know, but be wary of the California Cracker, to the CC everyone of Latin/Hispanic decent is Mexican. Ecuadorian? Nope Mexican. Argentine? Negative Mexican. Rican? Hells no, Mexican. Shit happens all the time, I was in runnin' 'round the hole of the scandalous big bad los angeles with a Spanish friend of mine, as in directly from Spain, and he was called Mexican as well, the kid is from Valencia, and the CC, well it's not a very smart breed of human. Better then rednek though.

I'm new to your blog, but really enjoy it! I am in California right now, thinking about you and Quint on your journey.
Since I sit in the passenger seat and travel the country with my road warrior boyfriend, I know what a trek cross country is like.
I hope you had a safe trip and I look forward to your blogging when you return. Good luck to Quint in his new job!!
godspeed and travelling grace...
